Meet Long-time Volunteer Grace Murton

Grace Murton is in her 80s and she has enjoyed volunteering at Brookwood for many years. Grace works the information desk and helps patients and visitors find their way around the campus. Volunteers at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center give their time, talents, energy and skills to help our patients and visitors. Some volunteers serve in various positions at the hospital including the information desks, waiting rooms, and with office assistance. These positions are beyond busy work - all are important, meaningful activities to assist our hospital.

Meet College Volunteer Christa Bella Bizimana

Christa Bella is a college volunteer from Samford University. From Burundi, East Africa, Christa received a scholarship from Samford to study medicine in the US. Christa wants to become a doctor and go back to her country to practice. She’s very driven, eager to learn, and enjoys volunteering at Brookwood. We are so appreciative of the work Christa is doing to help at our hospital. One of the key projects our volunteers assist with is assembling Birthday Boxes for the families of our newborns. These boxes are a special treat to celebrate the day the baby is born.
